This machine has been built to 1961 specification by George Beale (apart from belt primary drive and 6 speed gearbox) – but has yet to be started, never mind raced..
The G50 was introduced in 1958 to replace the fast but fragile G45. Cycle parts and transmission was common with the AJS 7R although they used different sprocket sizes.
Quite stunning.
