Many thanks to Peter Townsend for this copy of a postcard that he bought recently.  Anyone know what the bike is? Peter has found evidence that the photographer used a Coventry Eagle as one of his props.  Anyone recognise this bike as being one?

One Response to “1920s Packman & Poppe”

  1. The bike is a rare and unusual P&P (Packman & Poppe) from the mid 1920s. Sammy Miller has a P&P twin in his museum http://www.motorcycles-motorbikes.com/picture/number1855.asp , but I’m not sure of the single-cylinder motor in this bike. Perhaps a Barr & Stroud?
