1964 Rumble BSA Pictures

This machine has been constructed and was also ridden by its original designer, 73-year-old Derek Rumble in 2004 based on original 1964 photos and drawings.  Derek Rumble Racing Developments were twice winners of the manufacturers team prize at the IoM TT and were the last all British team to achieve this honour. Derek raced at International level for 30 years and won 25 TT awards before retiring after serious injury at the age of 56. Pictures taken at the 2008 Festival of 1000 Bikes.

    Derek built a bike for me in the late 60s we became friends he and his family have always had a place in my heart I don’t know if he’s still around I now live in suffolk and would love to say hello to my old mate can you help

      Greetings!

      I just obtained one of his sidecars, I am restoring it to race in the Vintage classes…
      And I would love to find more History on this rig…

      The only pic I have of it racing, it has a #25 plate (which was unknown until after it was bought) and I believe it was then powered by a Triumph triple.

      Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Derek is a couple of years older than me… it he’s still around I would be in your debt to be able to meet him. My background is Solo, F1 and F2… and Driving 4 wheels for Ford Werk in the 70′s.

    Derek still lives in Nursery Avenue,greetby Hill. Ormskirk. I saw his IOM plate there last november(20015)

  3. hello, building classic sidecar in Australia with bsa a65 engine. would love to know 2 into 1 exhaust specs. any other information would be great regards neil
