1958 BSA Super Rocket Pictures

I just finished the 1958 Super Rocket, will put it in next years BSA show in San Jose, CA.
It turned out pretty good I think. I did a lot of research on the 58 SR and found that there were 2 basic versions but BSA would sell you a bike special order so that’s what I did.
I put gators on the forks, 58 didn’t have them but I think it looks better and doesn’t leak. I was told you could special order a SR with ‘sport’ fenders so what you got was the same set up in the rear as a Gold Star so that’s what I did. I used the front fender that was on the bike when I got it, lots of welding of holes and copper dips to get the chrome right. I may change to the cross over single exhaust and I also had the original 4 gallon tank redone ($950). So with just fender changes, tank change and an exhaust change it could like a completely different bike. Fun to play with. But this bike runs sweet and actually gets more attention than the Gold Star as most think it is a Rocket Gold Star.

Many thanks to Doug Teeter of the USA for sending these pictures in.
