1958 Bianchi Tonale Pictures

Originally bought as a supply of parts for my other Bianchi. It came with this “huge” fuel tank and seat, so, I just had to restore it to see what it looked like. Parts, as is information about these bikes are very hard to fined, so I have fitted parts that may not be genuine Bianci, so long as they are Italian and from the same period, I will use them.

Pretty much work in progress still, but should be up and running by summer 2013.

Many thanks to Roger Josling for these pictures of his 175cc 1958 Bianchi Tonale racer.

  1. Absolutely gorgeous!!!
I’d love a tank like that for my Gilera Arcore. Any idea what it came off, or where to get one???
    Lovely bike.
    Best regards

Sorry for the very slow reply. I have not looked at this page in over a year!

The tank is homemade, not by me though. Cunningly made by using a standard tank for the front, and welding a second (dummy) tank to the back end.

The bike is now finished and occasionally goes out on short journeys.

      Regards,
      Roger.
