1953 AJS 500 M20 Spring Twin . Was built for racing & was the last year AJS entered it’s motorcycles in any feather races
I had one in the 1960s & loved this bike but like all of the rest of us we sold them off for a newer make or model .
A friend & I found this one on Craig’s List in Australia , I bought it & was shipped to British Columbia Canada
History: I have all the documentation of when it left England & it’s Racing history in Australia & so much more.
I’m the second owner now & his name is ( Albert ) & I do have a love for old British Motorcycles.
I have restored the old 1953 AJS …. Done the engine & transmission .. Wheels, Brakes, Front forks, seals & bearings
Wow I must say I had forgot how nice the sound of this bike was & to ride , what a beautiful old British Classic Motorcycle
It was said that it was One of the most prestigious of all British Marques, ( AJS began in 1897 ) ( Holds 117 world Records )
Now I have a very rare & Fantastic piece of British history in my stable along side My 1947 AJS 500 M18c Trials & the
Rarest of all is my 1936 Francis-Barnett
Everyone says : you own a Harley but we never see you ride it you are always riding your old crap .
I think they are just jealous Cuz I have so many bikes & I would rather ride my OLD BRITTS you know what I’m
Saying to have that big Thumbs up & that big smile on your face as you ride by no better feeling.
Car Shows …. Going for coffee .. evening ride to have an Ice cream …( Albert ) does attract attention .
Everyone says I should not be riding him , I just say they were made to ride & I do ( Amen )
Grips up …. Rubber down
