1926 Rudge Standard Pictures

Many thanks to Alexander Peter for these pictures of his Grandfather and Grandmother (in the white hat).  Alexander believes this to be a Rudge Whitworth.  The picture was taken in the late 1920s. And thanks to Leon for pointing out that this is a 500cc 1926 Rudge Standard.  "It would seem to be a 499 cc “Standard” model – you can see the two exhaust pipes (single cylinder, but four valves) going into the transverse silencer across the front of the motor. The Sports models had long pipes with mufflers at the back wheel."

  1. Yes I totally agree with Leon. It is a 1926 Rudge Whitworth 500cc standard model. With lots of extras! knee pads,spot lamp, electric horn, leg shields………..
