1919 BSA Model H Pictures

When I was 19, I was flipping through a fresh “Moto” magazine and was stunned to see my name in the caption of this photo – my grandad (left), with whom I share my name, also 19 at the time. The amazing thing is that I looked exactly like him at the time so it was almost like seeing myself!

He subsequently got into racing for many years and owned a variety of British bikes – Royal Enfield, Norton and Triumph. Apparently he was injured (in his late 40s I think), got fed up and sold the lot! Wish he’d left some for us!
