“When Chris retired at the start of the 1968 season I was not sure what to do? Having left the RAF in May and already decided to go to the TT, I then met up with Peter (Williams), who was without a mechanic. So I agreed to spend the rest of 1968 season with him and the photo is of me attending to Peter at Spa of that year.”
