    I believe this was called the Bantam Major!

    • John, I think the Bantam Major was a 175cc single cylinder machine built by BSA.
      This Bantam Arrow surely is a home built ‘ special ‘.

        Indeed… this is an Ariel Arrow engine in a Bantam rolling chassis as far as I can see..

        • Re – Bantam Arrow,..I saw this machine at the Vintage Vehicle weekend at Broad Farm recently. It also has a Yamaha twin-leading shoe front brake . The owner described some of the problems he encountered, such as the inlet manifold at the wrong angle because the engine is more vertical than previously, and various other difficulties. All together a very interesting project, makes a change from Tritons, Tribsas, Norvins, etc….

          • Hi Bruce. Sorry, but this is not the Arrow engined Bantam you saw at Broad Farm. There are a few of these bikes about.
