A 500cc HRD fitted with a semi-radial Rudge Python engine.  Up until 1934 HRD used proprietary engines from JAP, Villiers Python and Blackburne.  Bike spotted at the National Motorcycle Museum. And the lower picture shows the very same bike a few months earlier after the terrible fire at the museum.  The bike was restored by Ian Savage.

  1. Unfortunately the wheel rims of this pre war bike have been finished in the style of the majority of the post war models (chrome rim with black centre and red pinstripes). All black enamel should be the finish on this model.
