Many thanks to Paul for these fascinating picture. This is the only 100% original Works CZ 500cc bike in existence – in fact the exact size is 418cc and is in its final development guise. This has never been restored and was sold direct from storage in the factory in the 80s to the CZ Agent for Vienna Josef Faber, who put it on display in his private museum. In 2007, after Mr Faber passed away, this was bought by an English collector and was displayed at the Festival of 1000 bikes at Mallory park 2008 as can be seen in the bottom picture.
