A pair of Indians Pictures

image

A nice old picture sent in by Andy Breeden.  The bike at the back is certainly an Indian, but I wasn’t so sure about the foremost one.  Anyhow, thanks to Leon, this one has also been identified as an Indian too.  It is an Indian Powerplus – 1918 at the earliest. The Powerplus was introduced in 1916 as the first side valve Indian. When the Chief came in (around 1922) the Powerplus was renamed the Standard so it was clear which machine was at the top of the tree.
