This bike was seen at the 2004 autumn Clasic Show in Stafford.  It was originally delivered to the Blackburn based Bultaco dealer, Analays, as a 1963 4 speed 196cc.  It was used in the 200cc/250cc classes of the time.  The 196cc engine was removed and replaced with a works 125cc 6 speed engine.  With help from the factory records it was discovered that this engine was issued to Australian World Champion, Barry Smith, in 1965 as a 125cc works unit. The TSS found its way to Ireland and won the Irish Chamionship in the hands of Mickey Laverty who reported it was "very quick".  (Mickey’s sons are now doing very well in the current Superbike races on TV).  The current owner found the TSS in Ireland, brought it back to the UK and has restored it to its former glory.  I think he has a done a fantastic job.
