This lovely bike was displayed on the Norton Owners Club stand at the Autumn 2004 Stafford Bike show.  It’s a 596 OHV Model 19S – with "S" signifying it’s a sprung version.  This model was introduced in 1925 and was a variation on the Model 18/ES2 theme.  The engine was essentially the same as the Model 18, but with an increased stroke (from 100mm to 120mm).  It was also available as an "R" variant with no rear suspension.
