    This model gave the forces loyal and faithful service (rode one myself) was a pig to start when cold. Managed to ” fiddle ” a swap for a Matchless G3L. A lovely bike or perhaps at the age of 19 I did not know any better. Anyway all came to an end when WD withdrew motor cycles
    due to the locals anti social habit of stretching wires across the road at head height !!!! The jeep that took over was a much safer prospect when fitted with an angle iron wire cutter !.
