Many thanks to Ian Blake for this photo. It shows his grandmother astride what he believes to be her motorbike in the mid 1920′s. Many thanks to Martin Shelley for identifying the bike as possibly a BSA 557cc sidevalve. The number PT2921 was issued in Durham, and this series ran from November 1922 until July 1927, so one would put a probable date of 1924 or 1925 on it…
