Starts easily and runs well cruising at 60mph comfortably to keep up with modern day traffic.I could have spent hours polishing the engine casing but this bike was used and enjoyed rather than just put on show. Tyres are new and the rims are mostly good though there is a rough patch on the front that can be seen. The file shows considerable correspondence with The Classic Motor Cycle Club, the owner and the Department of Transport in respect to the rarity of the bike and the importance of retaining its original number-plate.This was achieved in 1988 after additional support from the Royal Enfield owners club and a letter and colour still from Brands Hatch starting grid suggesting that it raced there though I have not been able to find this picture. The bike is kept in a purpose built heated workshop and was run on Aspen pure fuel and not E10 rubbish.
