Hi Tim, nice to hear the story about your father in the war .I have just purchased a 1943 WLC from Holland that has been civillianised a long time ago-what would the chances be that your father rode it to the front line!

Hi Tim
My name is Jack Maude and my father served in the Second World war as well as a dispatch rider. Found it interesting that you and i have both developed an interest in the WLC. I have been looking online for a model kit of that bike to keep as a symbol of my dad's service. If you ever come across one of these would you mind dropping me a line?
looking forward to communicating with you in the near future.

One of my uncles, served in the second world war as a messenger for the Canadian allies and his responsibility was to travel to the different front lines as a messenger riding a Harley Davidson -1943 Flathead, one of only 100 that were a special order for Harley Davidson to build for the Canadian Navy.

My uncles name was Harold Francis Trudeau.

I would like to purchase one of these 1943 Flatheads to honor his service to our country.

If you have any ideas on where I might continue my search I would appreciate it.

My name and address is as follows:

Tim Trudeau
48 Scott Road
Chelsea, Quebec
Canada
J9B 1R5

Thank You, Tim
