I have a 59 TCS that hasn't run in 40 years I'm in the process of lubricating everything prior to rotational checks, cleaning and carb rebuild. Mag still Sparks but a good cleaning and lubricating of bearings and point system also seems in order. Can anyone help me with setting up initial timing?

To the best of my limited knowledge the `59 Typhoon G80TCS came with a Monobloc. Just purchased an original appearing bike with a 389/50 on it and a right side oil tank. Oil tank moved to left side next year, 1960, to make room for GP carb and air filter.

I have just purchased a 59 model in stunning condition. I own other singles and know this one can go better. As I believe they came standard with GP type carb and mine is fitted with a concentric some minor tuning is required. Also not well documented is ignition timing for Typhoon.I consider myslf lucky to own this bike as I also believe ther are not many about and that production was limited and most if not all went to the U.S. Phil (Australia)
