When I bought it from the main importers in London, it was the fourth to be imported into the UK. It was the only one in the country with an Avon Streamliner which I installed myself. It was a great bike – the frame was almost entirely made of aluminium castings, except for two frame tubes. It had a very smooth-running two stroke twin engine, which unfortunately only provided 22 bhp, so it wasn’t very fast compared to the Triumphs, Nortons and BSAs of the day.
I lived in Newbury at the time, but can’t remember who took the photograph.
