Hi, I’ve noticed your post from 2011, however there is chance that still you have cracked crankcase JM22 engine, my question is if cam side casting (part number 65-1572) survived maybe? Do you want sell, one , both? Looking forward. Cheers Robert

Tank looks to be 4 gall M20 early WD type- also used on some civilian models I think

right on pj, couldnt agree more, and what alot of these stock standard restoration types seem to forget is motorcycles have allways been customised by their owners, its been a part if motorcycling since day 1. Personally i think that ya cant get much cooler than a pre war special either

Hi there bloody stunning great work, am building a b26 special at the moment, was my grandfathers and all it had left was engine and front frame, its gunna be a special/bitsa. Am curious what tank is that? Most pre war tanks i am finding have the instrument panel i dont want, love your bike enjoy it

Arvid It will fit you can even put your M22 flywheels into the B31 cases for normal road use.

Looks cool, nice job! I have a 39 M22 with crankcase cracked beyond repair….
Did yor M22 barrel fit straight on to the B31 case?

Your right we have so many spare parts you better can built a special and ride it than let the spares in the garage I have also have a very original never restored BSA M23 1940 that i will never restore only ride it. I will put some pictures on this site.

That’s very nice, we need more specials, all these perfect original spec resto’s are getting boring, I’ve just got hold of an engine, its got M22 bottom end & has a 38 M24 all alloy top end on it :O , may keep it & build a special aswell.
