Great foto! Mijn great grandfather, J. van der Pijl, raced a bike just like this one at the Dutch Grandprix (TT) in Assen in 1928 (finishing in 6th place)! I have some pics from back then and it’s nice to see they are still around. As a matter of fact, I’m looking to buy one of these back into the family but can’t find anyone who want’s to sell his (can’t blame ‘m).
Please sent me some more foto’s if possible and if/when this one ever comes up for sale, please remember me ’cause I’m more than interested!
