		<description><![CDATA[Nice photos. Interestingly they show two different Harley-Davidsons - both very sought-after these days.
Photo 1 (with the house in the background) is a 1915 989cc twin, with the new three speed gearbox, probably a Model 11F. In 1916 the petrol tank became more rounded, and there were only small changes into the mid 1920s.
The bike in Photo 2 is earlier: I think it&#039;s the first chain-drive model from Harley, the Model X8E of 1912. Again a 989cc twin, but single speed with a clutch in the rear hub.
