Reluctantly parting with my two stroke Ner-a-Car. I have enjoyed this idiosyncratic machine for a number of years, but now I have other projects to complete. This really is a proper oily rag motorcycle and in my opinion it would be sacrilege to restore it. It runs and has completed several of the Sunbeam Club’s Conyboro outings, however its greatest moment of glory came when it was ridden by renowned journalist and motorcycle historian Paul D’Orleans (aka. The Vintagent) for three laps of the historic French Montlhéry racing circuit. If you’d like chapter and verse on these machines plus pictures of Paul on my bike see – https://thevintagent.com/2018/01/30/road-test-1923-ner-a-car/

If it’s originality you want this is the bike for you. It has both gas and electric lighting (neither working!) and the transfers are still just about visible on the bodywork. Be under no illusion, this bike is ‘oily rag’ in every sense of the word. It comes with two brand new unwrapped tyres which will need fitting at some point. A spare engine and carburettor are available by separate negotiation if you want them.
