TWIN Carburettor head (USA dealership shop option) with two Amal monobloc carbs with super rare Eddie Dow Accessories.
STD gearbox running 24 tooth engine drive sprocket – very fast on open roads but easy to ride in urban/city environs.
DUNLOP Alloys are original fitment with Avons on the rims.
Engine had complete rebuild in 2003/4 by R.C. Bailey, Florida. Correct type RGS magneto and generator also rebuilt at that time as were the Smiths chronometric clocks.
Gas tank was refreshed by Ross Thompson.
VMCC extract from factory works records date model RGS to July 1962 consignment to BSA New Jersey, USA. Separate VMCC extract for engine dates also to July 1962 to BSA New Jersey but in a later consignement. Therefore, bike is offered as numbers not matching which is reflected in the asking price for this beautiful and rare machine. Price is Stg.£16,700 obo.
