Many thanks to John Rogers for this photo taken in 1954 when he was stationed at R.A.F. Llandaff.
"I purchased the Triumph Tiger 110 new at a dealers called Bevens in Cardiff and rode it for a few years.If my memory is correct I think the price new was about £437.00. Previously had an ex police Speed Twin which I had brought at Farnbourgh car auctions but of course I wanted more power and speed which I got in abundance. It would be nice to know if it is still with us!!!! Reg No. is apparent in the photo.Which I read as K B O 7 4 3 . Notice the added cold weather advoidance gear (screen,leg guards) although in those one seemed to freeze just as much" |
