1971 Triumph Bandit |
||
|
An interesting bike at the 2008 Classic Motor Show. It is a 350cc DOHC 5 speed, electric starter Triumph Bandit. The sister of the BSA Fury, it was the last new design to come out of the BSA Group before the company ceased. There were many signs of cost cutting in the design, such as the gearbox having simply been turned upside down to provide a left foot gearchange. This has resulted in an awkward left-side kickstart and a centre stand that has to be operated from the right hand side of the bike. This is the first one I have seen of these (so thanks to the owner for the useful notes!)
