Another great bike on the Dorset VMCC stand at the 2005 Bristol Classic Bike Show.  This one is a 1961 650cc Panther 120 - a four speed 555cc sidevalve machine.

This is a very rare bike being the first ever 4 speed in the world.  Two gears are operated by the rocking foot pedal and 2 by the hand change.  This is the only known example of this model in the UK, with one other example in Sweden and an incomplete machine in Australia.  This bike has been completely restored over the last 2 years and will be used in VMCC events in 2005. Watch out for it!
