Many thanks to Glen Ivett for this picture of his Great Grandfather, Alonzo Palmer. This picture was used on the front cover of the Daily Mirror, March 5th 1910 as part of an article covering the death of Alonzo and his friend Tom Garner in what is believed to be the first fatal collision of a car and train at a level crossing. The collision took place near Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, UK.

If anyone can provide any information on the bike itself, we would love to hear from you.  Please drop me an if you can help.
