1965 Norton Cafe Racer |
||
|
Many thanks to Ian Kernahan of London, Ontario. Canada for this picture of his splendid looking Norton! It is based on a green powder coated Featherbed frame,
and powered by a 1965 Norton Atlas 750 cc high compression engine with
850 commando pistons and polished ports. It has a hand made aluminum tank
and a Manx race seat from England. Other specs are dual Amal 900
series carbs, Morad flanged alloy rims on Bridgestone spitfire tires,
braided lines, 67 Norton coil spring front end with NJB rear racing shocks.
The bike took about 12 months to build, wieghs less than 400lbs and goes
like Hell (He has had it up to 210 km/h) but is the most fun around winding
roads. The bike took first price at the London Ontario. bike show this
year. |
