1935 Matchless F4 |

A very interesting bike! It was born as a 1935 rigid framed 250cc F4 and was subsequently acquired by the Dowty Aerospace Group and used as a prototype the Dowty forks and swinging arm rear suspension. After an accident with one of the three prototypes they were all destroyed - only this example was merely dismantled and escaped.... This photo was taken at the 2008 Classic Motor Show.
