1924 Indian Chief

Thanks to Andy Schwanicke of Canada for this lovely picture. It is a picture of his grandfather (Richard Schwanicke) on a 1924 Indian in Germany. Since he was a car dealer of sorts, Andy suspects that they sold motorcycles as well. Is anyone able to provide any more detail on the bike?

And thanks to Leon for pointing out that this is likely to be a Chief (1000c) or Big Chief (1200cc). Any advance on these suggestions?!
