1929 FN Model M70

Thanks to Erkki Rautio of Finland for this picture of his 350cc 1929 FN Model M70.   This was FN's most popular model of which all together 40 000 bikes were manufactured between 1927 and 1946. It is also known as model "Sahara".

Erkki's bike is from 1929 and was put together in Aachen, Germany. Bikes were assembled there for the German and northern European market. Later the bikes put together in Aachen were named BAM (Berliner Aachener Motorenwerke). The M70 was a sturdy, reliable and economical machine and the price was almost as low as that of two-stroke bikes.
