Thanks to John HAndford of Birmingham for this picture of himself at home in 1951 on a new Douglas 350cc which his kind late grandmother bought me. He was just 18 and had really wanted a BSA Gold Flash but there was a 15 month waiting list at that time so he had the Douglas. It was nice bike and he sold it when he was due to join the RAF in 1954. He wishes he had kept it!
