Thanks to Ian Hamshare for this picture of his father-in-law on an AJS.  Many thanks to Geoff Reynolds for pointing out that the model is pre war and was either Model 22 which was a 250cc, Model 26 which was a 350cc or a Model 8 which was a 500cc . They were all identical except for the different size engines so there is no way of telling exactly which one this was. What he can tell us is that it was registered in the Southampton area.
