1955 AJS Model 20 |

to Michael Gregor of Norway for these super pics. This is the actual
AJS model 20 featured in the book "Best of British" by Peter Howdle
(reg. HHL 336). It had the same owner from 1963 until hebought it in 2005
and brought it to Norway. It has about 60000 well maintained miles on the
clock now but is still completely original (except the exhaust pipes and
silencers). Cylinders are on their first rebore. The paintwork is original
and still has a nice shine, although a bit battle scarred some places.
It charges very well and is relatively vibration free (for a paralell twin ;-). His cruising speed is between 50-60 mph and it goes 75-80(!) mpg. He plans to keep the Ajay in this original, non-restored condition.
