| A
sporting 500cc OHC AJS sports bike at the National Motorcycle Museum known
as the Trophy. These bikes were almost disregarded by Matchless after
they took over AJS in 1931. However, after an ISDT success by George
Rowley, the model was continued and eventually evolved into the 7R.
